Just Brakes Manager Review

The District Manager called us up and threatened to have the police come arrest us for paying our bill at the time of service. He claimed we were committing fraud because they applied discounts to our bill that they didn't mean to. At no time did we ask for discounts or refuse to pay our bill. Totally unprofessional, especially from a DM.

Warning!!!! Just brakes, Louetta. Services as far as working experience goes, customers come first not money. Selling parts to customers that they do not need doesn't mean you put them first. Professionalism from a 1-10 rating scale was and is still not even a 1. The...

Be aware.. just brakes off of Louetta.

Overcharges on packages would not refer you to just brakes off of Louetta. Also overheard a boss comment something very discomforting to one of his employees, looked like the only female that worked there as well. Not really sure what the guy's name was but it was very discouraging.

Extremely unprofessional. Will never go back.

Just Brakes manager is a LIAR and has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

Stay away from Just Brakes on E. Platte Ave. I just sent this to their corporate office. The manager there is so MEAN!! My husband and I dropped off our truck to be serviced for "the brake special" on 28 Sept. We chose this particular location because it was near a restaurant we wanted to try out. Upon dropping off the vehicle the manager told us he would call us when the vehicle was done. We waited and waited and no call. We decided to go home and call the next day to check the status. Sunday morning we call to find out they are closed on Sundays. My husband and I are both active duty military on two separate bases so having two vehicles is imperative. My husband left to the field training this morning so I had to drop him off at 0400 and go to the other side of the city to my base. At work I received a call from the manager stating we needed $500 worth of additional work done to our vehicle. After much attitude from the manager for no interest in all the extra work, I stated I was not interested and asked what took so long? The vehicle has been there for 3 days. He said "I called your husbands phone and there was no answer on Sat night" I told him that was incorrect and that we checked his phone numerous times. He then told me that my husband told him there was a missed call on his phone. I said you must be mistaken because my husband told me he DID NOT have any missed calls and sent me a screen shot of his calls from Sat. The manager stated they have been "troubleshooting". I said fine, I just want the special. He calls me during my lunch break stating my vehicle was ready. I told him I get off at 4:30 pm and will be over as soon as I could. I went home and picked up my daughter and called a cab to take me to the location. I paid for the repairs and went to my car to find the airbag light on! I go inside, he was with another customer he is helping so I waited and he asked "what's wrong?" I told him the light was on and he said yea, it was on when you dropped it off. I immediately called my husband, in the field, and told him what was going on and he said he also has never seen the light on. I told the manager and he proceeded to tell me to get off his property and that i was a disturbance and he was calling the police. I said please call the police because I need to tell them what is going on. He then repeatedly called me a lying ***! He was literally screaming at me calling me a ***. I was so upset that my hands were shaking and I started crying. He called me a *** in front of customers and his employees. I told the police everything and they told me they would be upset also and that I should contact his corporate office and also the better business bureau. I work at the hospital in customer service and this manager needs to be sent to customer service training ASAP or fired!! You do not treat customers like this, especially in front of others and their children. I had to explain to my 11 year old daughter that some people are just mean and have anger issues. I plan on telling all of my friends and co-workers about this because it is completely unacceptable. Please contact me at the information listed above. Thank you.

Just Brakes #631 Refused to honor their Groupon

In December, 2012 we found a Groupon offer for 3 oil changes for $30. It sounded too good to be true so before buying the group on we called our local Just Brakes store #631 in Ocala, Fl. We were concerned about the May expiration date as we thought getting 3 oil changes in 4 months didn't make sense. We spoke with Patrick who handled the service counter. He told us that we just had to get the first oil change before the May expiration and we could get the other two when needed So both my wife and I each bought a groupon offer. Today we went for our second oil change and we were told by the assistant manager, Richard Clemons, that the offer expired in May and he would only give us an $11 credit on any of their oil changes. We explained to him what Patrick had told us and he said that "everything that Patrick ever told you was a lie" and that Patrick was no longer with Just Brakes. He then went on to blame Groupon for the problem. At our request he called the store manager John Speer who also offered only an $11 credit. That is not what we paid for. The fine print on the Groupon also says "First oil change must be redeemed by expiration date on Groupon." which is what Patrick told us. We feel Richard Clemons and John Speer should honor the Just Brakes Groupon offer that was made by Just Brakes and bought by us. It's deplorable that they would change the terms of the offer and then blame it on a former employee. Meanwhile the shop sits empty! We can't possibly be the only customers who were duped by Just Brakes. We thought you should be aware of this deceptive practice since it reflects badly on Just Brake. We will never go there again and will tell everyone we know how we were first duped and then treated badly. I have contact Groupon who agreed with us, the groupon offer states "First oil change must be redeemed by expiration date on Groupon" and that it was ridiculous to expect someone to get 3 oil changes in 4 months. Also after getting our first oil change we received an email offer to write a good review in exchange for a free oil change. We wrote the review and never received the free oil change.

Just Brakes in Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Former manager lied about service

Took my Ford Escape in Nov 2012 for total brake job. Paid $200 plus dollars to Robert P. Manager and he guaranteed me no prob. Here today 2/15/2013 because back brakes started squeaking bad. New manager Will says it will cost me 115 dollars to fix problem. Old manager Robert didn't bleed lines or change springs as he should the first time. On my Nov invoice says I decline services. Not true. I'm not an expert on brakes. They are. I would have had it done if Robert P. had told me about it. Bottom line. Will is taking care of my issues but I will never come back here again.

Just Brakes Fail - 2 hour wait after scheduled appointment

My parents purchased a recent Groupon of 3 oil changes at Just Brakes for $30, so I went to cash in. I called at 12:30pm and was told to come in at 2pm. When I pulled in, I talked to the manager and he told me not only did they not take appointments because so many people would come and go, but also that it'd be a two hour wait. I told him I was on the phone with them an hour and a half earlier and was told my scheduled appointment would be at 2pm. He just replied with "oh, sorry" and kept saying how it's at least a 2 hour wait from that point. His advice was for me to wait the 2 hours unless I wanted to take my chances by leaving and coming back - saying they could be free or they could be at another two hour wait. Apparently the website saying "make an appointment" and even an employee of this same location stating I had a scheduled appointment are not enough for them to honor said appointment. Needless to say, I will NOT be going back to that JB and I've already told my family to avoid them at all costs as well. A little bad customer service goes a long way.

I have been ripped off twice at the Just Brakes on Palmer Park in Colorado Springs. About a year ago, I took my car in for an oil change & ended up getting charged $1500 for all new brakes.

I later discovered that they put the cheapest brakes you can buy on it but charged me twice as much for them. I didn't learn my lesson and took my new car in for the $19.99 oil change coupon & without my authorizarion they tried to charge me $42 because they had to put an extra quart of oil in. Also, surprise surprise this new car apparently needs a $1500 brake repair as well. I refused to pay more than the $19.99 & took my car to another mechanic who said that all I needed was new pads.&.resurfacing on the front.

A $80 job. I should have learned my lesson the first time!

NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE! Most crooked place I have ever done business with.

Just brakes lost my wheel hubs

I took my car in to just brakes for a stuck brake caliper on my pass. side front tire. They removed all four wheel for inspection. As I had rear brakes put on in Nov. 2011 and shortly there after had shocks and struts installed which they broke a nut and the job took alot longer then expected. Back the stuck caliper they rebuilt the caliper charged me $85.00 and my receipt shows $74.00. They failed to put the lug covers back on the front tires and the next day I went back and they told me they must have came off when I drove off. On this car which is a 1992 buick century custom that is not possible. I then ask for the corporate office number and I was told by the manager to give him until Thursday July 26th and he would try to find replacements. Just Brakes 1300 1960 west Houston Tx. Never again.
